THIS IS OUR "FOR SALE" PAGE
Due in large part to an injury from a fall on ice in February, 2011, Linda made the very difficult decision to sell most of her breeding goats.
~ ~ MANY THANKS to Cheryle Moore-Smith of Old Mountain Farm, for her help with this!!
I will no longer be breeding goats. After nearly 40 years with goats, I have been struggling with this decision, but I know it's the right one. I still have a few adults for sale.
I have sold most of my does, and still have a two-year-old buck for sale. Roundabout Buffalo's Chance is moon-spotted and has moon-spotted goats on both sides of his pedigree. Price is negotiable to a good home.
****Chance is currently at Old Mountain Farm - His price has been reduced and Cheryle Moore-Smith will be handling his sale.
SEE BELOW FOR PICTURES AND INFO
Many of our goats have moonspots or parents with moonspots, so would be likely to throw some kids with moonspots.
EVERY GOAT ON OUR FARM TESTED NEGATIVE FOR CL IN MARCH, 2008.
WE HAVE NEVER HAD A NIGERIAN DWARF TEST POSITIVE FOR CAE.
We give discounts for multiple purchases.
Buyer must pay for any additional tests or health certificates on goats. If goats are shipped, buyer must provide or pay for crate(s) and shipping costs.

ROUNDABOUT BUFFALO'S CHANCE
DOB 3/24/11 (a triplet)
FOR SALE - contact Cheryle Moore-Smith at Old Mountain Farm
"CHANCE" Above 2 pictures taken in November 2012, showing both sides. Black & white with brown moonspots. He was disbudded but has small scurs that are not growing. Chance has always been very friendly, though he can be rather sassy. He's quite easy to medicate (paste wormer, coccidia meds) because he's greedy! May need a high fence. At about 6 months of age, he was able to climb over my fence when a doe in heat was on the other side, by launching himself onto it and climbing! I built a pen with a top on it, to keep him from doing that...Now that he's larger and heavier, he may no longer be able to climb a fence, but since I definitely don't want my two remaining does to get bred, I haven't tested that theory! Chance sired one doe kid with Kaye (Unfortunately, I thought the breeding had not taken because Kaye did not develop an udder before kidding. The kid was born in February 2012, while I was laid up/recovering from surgery, and she got chilled and did not survive.) I stopped breeding goats, so have not used Chance for breeding since then.

ROUNDABOUT NICK O' TIME
DOB 3/24/11 (a triplet)
"NICKIE" Brother to "Chance". Dark brown with a couple of lighter moonspots, white on the end of his tail. Above 2 pictures taken in November 2012, showing both sides. Nickie is not as friendly as Chance, but does like to be scratched. He was not a climber of fences like his brother was. Because I stopped breeding goats, Nickie has not yet been used for breeding.
See pedigree above.
WETHERS FOR SALE TO GOOD HOMES
"BIG BOOEY" DOB 5/15/07
WETHER, black & white; has horns and is friendly. As a kid he started out growing faster than the others, so I began calling him "Big Boy", which later became Big Booey, and the name stuck. He's not huge, but now he IS larger than many of my goats. This picture was taken in November, 2012. For sale to a good home - must have at least one suitable companion goat. Could be sold with his current companion, Timmee (below).
SALE PRICE $70.00.
"TINY TIMMEE" DOB 6/22/06
WETHER, brown & white; has horns and is friendly. Timmee was tiny at birth and needed extra help. He is still a little on the small side, but holds his own with Big Booey. For sale to a good home - must have at least one suitable companion goat. Could be sold with his current companion, Booey (above), but I will not sell Timmee by himself unless I no longer have Booey. This photo was taken in November 2012. SALE PRICE $70.00.
OTHER STUFF FOR SALE
BOOKS ABOUT ANGORA GOATS:
These are used books from the 1980's. I brought them to agricultural fairs and other educational venues as well as using them for reference at home, so they have my name and farm name written on or in them. Other than that, they are in very good *used* condition.
While up-to-date information is available on the internet now, most of the basic information remains the same as when these books were written, and they can be handy to have.
The price for each book does not include postage. Please add $3.50 for one or two books, or $4.00 for all three books. They will ship with USPS by media mail, with delivery confirmation.
Please email me before paying for any of these books to make sure they are still available. I do accept Paypal payments. I would also accept a personal check or a postal money order, though shipping would be delayed till the payment clears.
THE ANGORA GOAT BOOK AND GUARD DOGS - by Jean Ebeling. Hardcover, with dust jacket. Written and published in Texas; this is the 1983 edition. The dust jacket is a little soiled and worn, but has done a good job of protecting the actual book cover. Price: $8.00
